TOMATO-BRAISED PORK RIBS

How to cook pork ribs with tomatoes is such a delicious recipe that you can’t stop eating it after mouthful. The bright red color of the fresh tomatoes catches the diners’ eyes at first and the delicious flavor of the pork ribs keeps them coming back for more!

Ingredients:

2 slabs baby back pork ribs

1 cup soy sauce

2tbsp oyster sauce
-
1/2 cup white vinegar
-
2 tbsp minced garlic
-
1 medium onion, chopped
-
1 tsp pepper flakes
-
2 cups water
-
1 jar tomato sauce
-
2 tbsp brown sugar
green onion (garnish)

Rinse each slab of ribs, then trim off any excess fat.

Separate each rib then place into a large pot over medium high heat.

Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, pepper flakes, vinegar and garlic to the pot.

Stir to evenly coat each rib with the liquid and garlic.

Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure even browning.

Add the onions and water to the pot.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes and sugar.

Cooking the ribs in this delicious tomato sauce, long and over medium-low heat, is the key to creating fall-off-the-bone yumminess.

Bring the sauce to a boil then reduce the heat to medium-low. Simmer the ribs for at least 2 hours.

When the meat is tender and almost falls off the bones, and the sauce becomes thickened, turn off the heat.
Serve with hot white rice and garnish with green onion and ENJOY!
