CLASSIC GUACAMOLE RECIPE FROM MEXICO

 Classic Guacamole Recipe from Mexico

Authentic Mexican flavors are promised in this guacamole recipe, which calls for just six basic ingredients to prepare.

Cooking: 15 minutes in total

Serves: 1 cup

Ingredients:

  •     1 tablespoon coarsely minced white onion
  •     One tablespoon of freshly chopped cilantro (plus two tsps)
  •     One tsp of jalapeño
  •     ½tspCoarse salt
  •     1ripeHass avocado
  •     three tablespoons of tomato


Instructions:

  •     Mash the onion, jalapeño, 1 tablespoon cilantro, and salt in a big mortar and pestle until the mixture is smooth and juicy. Add the avocado and mash it just a little bit—it should still be rather chunky.
  •     Add the tomato and the last two tsp of cilantro and stir. If desired, add salt to season. Apply right away.
